Gone2Korea is a leading English teacher recruitment agency that helps passionate people find rewarding teaching jobs throughout South Korea. Founded back in 2006 as a small side project, we’ve grown into one of the most trusted and well-known teacher recruiting programs. As our name suggests, we specialize in the South Korean job market.
Over the years, we’ve helped over 7,000 teachers, primarily from the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., make the move to Korea. Whether you’re a first-time traveler or a seasoned teacher, our friendly team is here to make the process smooth, stress-free, and (most importantly) exciting.

We’re a full-service recruiting agency, which means we help you every step of the way — from your first chat with one of our coordinators to your first day in the classroom! We also continue support for the entire duration of your contracted term.

Teaching English abroad is about so much more than the job itself. The job is important – obviously – but it’s only part of the overall experience. Working at the best school doesn’t guarantee a great experience if the location doesn’t align with your personal interests and lifestyle preferences. Similarly, working in the best location doesn’t guarantee a great experience if your school environment is unpleasant or the student age groups aren’t ideal. At the end of the day, the right fit looks different for everyone, and that’s exactly why we’re here.
As a recruiter, we believe the foundation of a great placement comes down to accurate information. Our team has invested years building strong relationships with many of the top schools and programs in Korea. We speak with school directors, gather candid feedback (good and bad) from current and former teachers, and maintain an extensive archive of school photos and details about the locations, the teacher apartments, the working environments and more.
Most importantly, developing trust and credibility with westerners – the people who use our services to secure teaching jobs in Korea – is paramount. That means getting to know what you’re looking for, answering your (probably many) questions, and making sure you’ve got the right information at the right time to make a smart decision.
We partner with a broad range of schools and programs across Korea. Our primary focus is on private language schools (hagwons), and there’s a good reason for that —these schools make up the largest segment of Korea’s English teaching market by far, which means tons of opportunities in a diverse range of locations. We also work with international schools, public-school programs and smaller niche teaching jobs.

Gone2Korea is your connection to full-time teaching jobs in South Korea. Western graduates, primarily from the US, Canada, UK, and Australia, use our services to secure jobs with trusted Korean schools, and schools use our services to find and hire enthusiastic teachers from the West.
Worth noting: We’re not a job ‘sourcing’ agency or recruiter that finds new schools on the fly. On the contrary, we work with a select group of schools and programs that we know and trust.
In addition to helping you land a job, we’ll also be helping you with your work visa, departure, arrival, and offering support for the entirety of your contracted term.
