I'm a first-time teacher
Will I qualify for positions?
Of course. Having prior teaching experience, or an undergraduate degree in an unrelated field, are not necessary for securing great jobs with competitive benefits. Roughly 70% of the people we work with are first-time teachers. You’re in good hands.
I'm an education major
What can you help me with?
As an education major you’ll have more job options and higher earning potential. Gone2Korea is proud to work with education majors, or candidates with valid teaching licenses, who are interested in taking their teaching skills abroad.
Benefits you can expect
What are the basic requirements?
All you need is a bachelors degree in any field of study, a valid passport from the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia or South Africa, a clean criminal record and a clean bill of health. A genuine interest in teaching will help.
What type of school will I be working at?
It depends on your preferences and credentials. We can help you with with public school jobs, private school employers and private after-school programs.
Do I still have time to land a spring 2019 job?
You sure do! There are still lots of great private school jobs with hagwons and after-school programs and a limited number of public school positions remaining.
Where can I teach?
Where you’ll be living and working is important, we get it! We work with lots of great schools country-wide in major and minor cities but most of our schools are located in Seoul and Gyeonggi (Seoul metropolitan region).
Can I apply with a friend or significant other?
You sure can! Our coordinators do their best to match joint applicants with jobs at the same school, or separate schools nearby.
Are there any fees?
Zero! All of our amazing services are forever free, guaranteed. We collect our fees from the schools and programs in South Korea.
