Big savings on two popular TEFL courses
The two certification courses we recommend most are the TEFL Graduate 120hr professional online course and the TEFL UK 150hr online masters course. Both courses offer valuable TEFL teaching fundamentals, have fun and up-to-date course modules and they’re hosted on great platforms with excellent UX design which allows you to work on the course modules from your pc or mobile device. Most importantly, both courses are accredited and accepted as an English teaching credential by the EPIK, SMOE and GEPIK public school programs as well as all private school employers.

Does Gone2Korea receive a fee for recommending courses?
Yes, we receive a small fee for recommending these courses, however, we pass most of the commission over to you as a discount (instead of recommending the courses at a higher price) so you get the best deal. Also, we know the providers of these courses and wouldn’t recommend them if they weren’t trusted and accepted by Korean schools and programs.
Does being TEFL certified guarantee job placement?
Getting TEFL certified is essentially qualifying (making yourself eligible) for teaching opportunities in Korea. Having a TEFL certification as a credential on your resume means you will meet the minimum application requirements for public school teaching jobs (TEFL is mandatory for all jobs in this sector) and employer preferences for private school jobs (private schools prefer candidates who are TEFL certified). In short, TEFL will open doors for you as a job candidate but it doesn’t provide job guarantees.
Are these courses accepted in countries other than Korea?
Yes they are. Both courses are accepted by schools (as a TEFL credential) in all of the top English teaching destinations around the world, including; China, Japan, Taiwan, South East Asia and South America. Basically, you’re good to go if you decide to bail on Korea, or you want to teach in a different country afterwards.
