The three certification courses we recommend most are the Global Language Training 120hr Advanced Online TEFL course, the TEFL Graduate 120hr Professional Online course and the TEFL UK 150hr Online Masters course. All 3 courses offer valuable TEFL teaching fundamentals, have fun and up-to-date course modules and they’re hosted on great platforms with excellent UX design which allows you to work through the course modules from your pc or mobile device. Most importantly, all of these courses are accredited and accepted as an English teaching qualification by schools and programs in both teaching sectors: private schools and public schools (EPIK Program).

Yes, we receive a small fee for recommending these courses, however, we pass most of the commission over to you as a discount (instead of recommending the courses at a higher price) so you get the best deal. Also, we know the providers of these courses and wouldn’t recommend them if they weren’t trusted and accepted by Korean schools and programs.
Getting TEFL certified is essentially qualifying (making yourself eligible) for teaching opportunities in Korea. Having a TEFL certification as a credential on your resume means you will meet the minimum application requirements for public school teaching jobs (TEFL is mandatory for all jobs in this sector) and employer preferences for private school jobs (private schools prefer candidates who are TEFL certified). In short, TEFL will open doors for you as a job candidate but it doesn’t provide job guarantees.
Yes they are. Both courses are accepted by schools (as a TEFL credential) in all of the top English teaching destinations around the world, including; China, Japan, Taiwan, South East Asia and South America. Basically, you’re good to go if you decide to bail on Korea, or you want to teach in a different country afterwards.

Gone2Korea is your connection to full-time teaching jobs in South Korea. Western graduates, primarily from the US, Canada, UK, and Australia, use our services to secure jobs with trusted Korean schools, and schools use our services to find and hire enthusiastic teachers from the West.
Worth noting: We’re not a job ‘sourcing’ agency or recruiter that finds new schools on the fly. On the contrary, we work with a select group of schools and programs that we know and trust.
In addition to helping you land a job, we’ll also be helping you with your work visa, departure, arrival, and offering support for the entirety of your contracted term.
Prior teaching experience and related degrees are NOT prerequisites for teaching in Korea. Here’s what you’ll need in order to qualify.
Korean schools and programs offer western English teachers highly competitive benefits packages which includes:
